File didn't download or download wasn't complete

We have hundreds of successful downloads from our site each week. While we know there can be a problem with our web site or a link, most of the time the problem ends up being a result of an unreliable communication link to the internet. 

A download manager can continue a download after it fails, from the same place it stopped. A download manager can help you save days of trying to download very large files, even from unreliable sites or with unreliable internet connections. Gozilla is one such download manager. It can be a little tricky to figure out, but works great once you know how to use it. Please look at our web page "Download Managers" for more information. It will tell you how to resume interrupted downloads of large files. 

Reseller Code

The TNTlite Activation page requires a legitimate Reseller Code.

Click the 'find code' link on the TNTlite Activation page to open a list of reseller locations. Click on the reseller nearest you to open that reseller's information page. On the reseller's page, look for the box that shows the 'reseller code.' Navigate back to the TNTlite Activation page and continue filling out the form.

You can use code US038 if all else fails.

Still can't download? 

You may go directly to our FTP SITE: ftp://ftp.microimages.com. The files are in the /pub/tntlite/[version]/[your operating system] directory (example: \pub\tntlite\v73\win32). If you are using Internet Explorer, log on as anonymous and enter your email as password.

You may contact the reseller closest to you if you are unable to download the file or Order TNTlite on CD directly from MicroImages (cost including shipping: $50 US).

Didn't get activation code email 

It is possible you entered the wrong email address. If you also didn't receive the downloaded file, go back to the download page and start again. If you received the downloaded file but not the activation code, you may go directly to our TNTlite Activation form page, fill it out, and try again. 

Dialup connection

Before clicking the 'Request Activation' button in the TNTlite Activation form, you must answer 'No' to the 'Are you using a dialup connection (phone modem)?' If you are using a phone modem with a download manager go ahead and click 'No' to continue with the download.

INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

Mac

Mac users need X11 optional install.

X11 is one of the Optional Installs on your Tiger DVD. However, X11 can be confused with X11SDK, which is not the same. If installed, X11 will be located in Applications/Utilities. 

How to start TNTlite

In Windows, navigate from your Start menu to MicroImages > TNT Products [version] > TNTmips. Note that TNTedit and TNTview are a components included in TNTmips.

For Mac, select Go -> Applications from the desktop menu.  Open the TNT products item in the Applications list, and click the TNTmips icon.

For Linux and Unix, uncompress and untar the downloaded file.  If the download file is the only .tgz file in the directory, you can do it with this command:
     tar -xzf *.tgz

Go into the directory you created with 
     cd tnt72

Start TNTmips with the command
     ./tntmips &

Activation code expired 

The activation code emailed to you after you submit the TNTlite Activation form will expire approximately three days after it is sent. Once TNTlite is installed, started, and the activation code entered - you can use it indefinitely. 

Note that you can use the same activation code on multiple computers as long as it hasn't expired. In the future when you do a new installation of TNTlite, you will need to get a new activation code from our web site. You can get a new activation code emailed to you at any time by filling out the TNTlite Activation form.

Bad activation code or email 

The first time you start TNTmips in Lite mode, you will be asked to enter the Activation code along with the email address you used in the TNTlite Activation form. Be sure to enter the same email address that you entered when filling out the Activation form. We recommend that you cut and paste the activation code and email address directly from the email you received from us. 

LITE LIMITATIONS 

TNTlite is a free version of TNTmips, TNTedit, and TNTview for small-scale projects. TNTlite is not a demo, but a large, full-featured geospatial analysis software package. The free TNTlite product has all the features of the professional TNTmips version, except TNTlite limits the size of Project File objects. (More on TNTlite LIMITS ... )

The TNTlite download file is identical to the professional program, TNTmips. TNTlite and the professional TNTmips both also share the same patches: http://www.microimages.com/downloads/tntpatch/

• Professional users have a software license key to enable full functionality.

• TNTlite users require an activation code to start TNTlite the first time.

MicroImages provides 80 free tutorial and application booklets with step-by-step lessons for learning the many features and processes of the TNT products. All tutorials are included on the TNTlite CD-ROM and also available for viewing and download from this site.

The TNTlite you download here contains the all patches and updates in the current release. Stay current with the latest features and patches. The Release Version and the Patch File are updated each week and available for free download.

INTERFACE LANGUAGE KITS

TNTlite is an international product that lets you select from a growing number of interface languages. Check our Language Interface Packages page for the interface language of your choice. 

All current language kits are bundled with the Full TNTlite download. You can select the interface language you want during the TNTlite setup process. If you need a language that is not included, check our Language Interface Packages page to see if new languages have been added since the release.
