Egypt population along the Nile

A combination of translucent AVHRR and color relief shaded world topography is overlaid with DCW vectors including the populated places (PP) vector which is has been labeled by CartoScript, size and visibility are both under control of this custom script and are modified according to the scale at which they are displayed, this works nicely for display and the settings also generate an appealing hardcopy layout. The data even scales well for poster sized layouts if you wish.

Yellowstone & Grand Teton Park Layout

USGS DLG vector overlaid on a color relief shaded digital elevation model of the parks with a background dem of the entire area using one of TNT mips standard color palletes.

Death Valley National Park Layout

Merged DLGs from the USGS and Vectors from the Bureau of Transportation and Statistics combine with DEMs and a strip of simulated ASTER data in this layout bands 7,4,1) (33 Mb)

Pin map and point symbol layout.

 A pinmap layer uses a simple script to query database values and set the size, orientation and color of point symbols. Includes SeaWIFS (rgb at 3601x1601). Rivers, Coasts, Political boundaries vectors from DCW.

This is an example of what can be done with the hardcopy Layout process in the TNT products. Uses only DEM's and DLGs from the USGS.
