This Landscape File illustrates the relationships between geology and surface terrain for the area surrounding Yucca Mountain, Nevada. It includes a billboard point overlay and several texture images that can be selected one at a time or stacked with offsets. The texture layers include (1) a geologic map merged with shaded relief, (2) a pan-sharpened Landsat7 image (bands 7-4-2 as R-G-B, respectively, to highlight different geologic materials, (3) SPOT panchromatic 10-meter image, (4) color shaded relief, and (5) a color digital orthophoto as a partial texture. The billboard point overlay shows the locations of drillholes made to characterize the subsurface geology.
