Monterey BayDownload MonBay5.sim ... This Landscape File covers Monterey Bay and the adjacent California coastline. The file includes two texture layers. One texture is a color shaded relief view of an elevation model that encompasses both land topography and submarine bathymetry. To provide separate color schemes for land and ocean areas, two versions of this elevation model were created, one for the land area (with nulls for the ocean) and one for the ocean area (with nulls for the land), and a color palette was created for each model. In the Landscape Builder these two layers were overlaid with partial transparency over a relief-shaded view of the original elevation model, producing a color shaded relief texture with blue-toned bathymetry and earth-toned land elevations. The second texture is a pan-sharpened natural color Landsat7 image of the land area with transparent null values for the ocean area, so the color shaded bathymetry remains visible even when this image texture is selected for display.
