MERLIN: Enterprise-wide Geospatial Analysis
The online MERLIN (Maryland’s
Environmental Resources and Land Information Network) system is an
electronic atlas provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources
(MDNR) for public viewing and internal use. The information in this atlas
came from and is used by many other state agencies, such as the State
Highway Authority and the Maryland Office of Planning. The degree of
organization and quality built into the MERLIN system enables MDNR and
others to rapidly respond to map requests in emergency situations.
