Scalable Vector Graphics

SVG

What is SVG? Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is a graphics file format and Web development language based on XML. SVG is well suited to GIS and mapping applications. Discrete map elements are represented by SVG so that point symbols, labels, line symbols, bitmap fills, polygon transparency, base raster images, complex legends, and portable fonts are easily supported.

MicroImages supports the creation of SVG files with a "print to SVG" feature.  Any map layout or other display group that you would print to a printer can also be printed to an SVG file.
