  • Title: Weed Index 3D drape
  • Data : Local Nebraska aerial photos (CIR and grayscale), USGS DEM and soil type vectors and yield output.
  • Preparation: Uses weed index GeoFormula = (Near Infra Red - Red)/(NIR + RED) - yield to create a weed surface, adjusted to fit with actual elevation of landscape. Color map the weed surface to make high values of weeds distinctive, use raster/combine/color convert to RGB, display as RGBI (intensity = surface values ) with relief shading.
  • Title: Grand Hexagon Flight Prep
  • Data : Space Shuttle Astronaut Photo, USGS DEMs and Bureau of Transportation and Statistics.
  • Preparation: This image of the Grand Canyon was georeferenced using the DEM as a basis.

  • Title: Middle East Elevations

  • Details: Custom color palettes on elevation makes colorful imagery not too divergent from plant growth and other features (such as the blue oceans) from the real world.

  • Title: Grand Teton Valley
  • Data : Space Shuttle Color image and 8 meter grayscale DOQQ subsample with vector overlays - park boundary (green), roads (red), hydrology (blue), USGS DEMs
  • Details: NASA space shuttle photo was combined  using transparency with 8 meter resampling of black and white DOQQs and draped with vector data over a mosaic of USGS DEMs.

  • Title: Chromadepth View in View
  • Data : San Francisco Bay area SPOT photo, USGS DEM
  • Preparation: Used the standard Chromadepth color palette (on the DEM ) and converted the SPOT photo to use as intensity band of the RGBI display.
