TNTsim3D Scripts

Go to main SCRIPTING page...

You can add custom effects and capabilities to TNTsim3D simulations by using SML scripts. To include a script with a particular simulation, simply save the script as an RVC object in the Landscape File. When that file is opened in TNTsim3D, any included scripts are available from the Script menu on the TNTsim3D window. Selecting the script from the menu starts the script and deselecting it stops it.

Go to 1-page index of over 200 scripts ...

Customizing TNTsim3D with SML
Create Flight Paths in TNTsim3D via SML

Download Sample Scripts for TNTsim3D

  • Script AdvRecorder.sml provides a user of TNTsim3D a way to record the path that they create when using the simulator. Options are then given to smooth the path using splining and averaging methods along with the direction of the view..

  • Script daynight.sml provides examples of setting the simulation environment: it continuously modifies the background color, fog density, and sun illumination parameters to simulate day-night cycles.

  • Script simorbit.sml illustrates how to use and set positional information for each frame. This script gets the viewer position and the position on the terrain at the center of the view, then orbits the viewer clockwise at constant altitude around that terrain position.

  • Script smlrecorder.sml records and plays flight paths using controls in a dialog created in and opened by the script. Position information for a flight path is recorded in a set of numeric arrays for replay. Recording a new flight path replaces the last one in memory. The current flight path can be saved to a text file (Save button) and reloaded for replay (Open button).
