7.5' map: A standard topographic map quadrangle size that covers 7.5 minutes of latitude and 7.5 minutes of longitude. For example, the 7.5' map for Crow Butte, Nebraska covers from 103 15' to 103 22' 30" west, and 42 37' 30" to 42 45' north (about 8.6 x 6.4 miles or 55 square miles at that latitude). USGS quadrangle maps are common in both 15' and 7.5' sizes. (See also: minute.)
