Understanding Tilesets Used on the Internet

Standard web tileset creation, management, and publishing was available in TNTmips 2010. However, many important new capabilities have been added to all the tileset processes in TNTmips 2011. This includes:
- producing a single tileset for use in Google and Bing Maps and Open Layers
- support for faster / smaller 8-bit PNGs (24-bit PNGs are now optional)
- convert tiles to blobs in table for popular databases (pending)
- a portable Open Layers (open source) viewer
- more geomashup features
- extraction of standard tilesets from a tileset based on a region
- support for "mobile gesture devices"
- direct integration as new layer type in TNTmips
- and many more ...
