Visiting MicroImages

MicroImages always enjoys having visitors in our offices. If you are planning to visit us for a demonstration, a session of training, or any other reason, the following information will help you arrange for your visit.

MicroImages is located in downtown Lincoln. This area offers cinemas, restaurants, museums, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, and the Nebraska State Capitol. The historic Haymarket area, a short walk away, provides a variety of unique shops and restaurants. See www.lincoln.inetnebr.com for more information about Lincoln. When you travel to MicroImages, we recommend that you fly into the Lincoln airport, not the larger Omaha airport. Omaha is over 80 kilometers (50 miles) away, and you would need to find transportation from Omaha to Lincoln. When you arrive in Lincoln, we recommend that you do not rent a car, as MicroImages is located downtown, only ten minutes from the Lincoln Airport. Car rental requires the additional cost of renting the car, parking costs, and arrangements while you are here.

Taxis and shuttles are available at the airport.
The Town House Mini-Suites provides airport shuttle service 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Local cab companies also provide taxi service.
Taxi fares between these downtown hotels and the airport are from US$9 to $11.

There are four hotels within walking distance of MicroImages, offering a range of price and accommodation. Details on these hotels are listed below. None of these rates include local taxes, and rates are subject to change. All four hotels have US government rates, but they vary and depend upon availability. The Cornhusker is about 170 meters (1 block) from MicroImages (diagonally across the street). The current business rate is US$140 per room per night. Town House Mini-Suites 1744 "M" Street Lincoln, NE 68508 (402)475-3000 FAX (402)475-0126	The Town House Mini-Suites offer a less expensive alternative. The Town House is about 630 meters (5 blocks) from MicroImages. The rate for a single room is US$69 + tax per night for 6 days or fewer. For 7 days or more, the rate is US$59 + tax per night. These rooms are all non-smoking suites, complete with kitchen facilities. There are, of course, other hotels and motels in Lincoln. Several near the airport are less expensive. If you are driving to Lincoln or renting a car, these might offer a money-saving option. See www.travelhero.com or www.all-hotels.com for a listing of hotels. Simply choose Lincoln, Nebraska from either of these sites’ hotel section, and you will see a list of hotels in Lincoln with price ranges and descriptions of available hotels for the dates you will be traveling. Several hotels and motels offer the option to book reservations directly from the website or via email.

When planning your visit, one thing to note is that the 5-time national champion University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team ("Big Red") is nearby on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Memorial Stadium seats 77,000 fans and has been sold out for over 200 consecutive games. As a result, it is very difficult to obtain accommodations in Lincoln on the weekends of Saturday home games. Also, local hotels often charge higher rates on these weekends. The football season usually runs from September to November each year.
